Anyaoku Expresses Confidence in Tinubu, Says He’s Capable of Solving Nigeria’s Problems

Former Commonwealth Secretary-General, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, has expressed confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s capacity to tackle Nigeria’s pressing challenges, citing his leadership experience and political acumen.

Speaking at a public forum on national development held in Abuja, Anyaoku stated that President Tinubu possesses the necessary skills and vision to address the country’s longstanding problems, including insecurity, economic instability, and social division.

“I believe President Tinubu is capable of addressing the problems confronting our country,” Anyaoku said.

“His background as a former governor and political leader gives him the needed experience and insight.”

Anyaoku, a respected statesman and diplomat, also urged Nigerians to exercise patience with the current administration and to contribute positively toward national development.

He emphasized that meaningful reform takes time and collective effort.

“We must support the government with constructive criticism and goodwill. Nation-building is not the task of one man alone,” he added.

President Tinubu, who assumed office in May 2023, has faced mounting pressure to deliver on his promises amid economic hardships and security concerns. His administration has launched various initiatives aimed at reviving the economy and curbing violence in troubled regions.

Analysts say Anyaoku’s remarks could strengthen Tinubu’s standing among political elites and the broader public, as he continues to navigate complex governance challenges.
