Bariga LG Chairman, Kolade Alabi, Collapses at APC Meeting

A dramatic incident occurred on Wednesday at the All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ meeting in Lagos, as the Chairman of Bariga Local Government, Kolade Alabi, reportedly collapsed while addressing the crowd.
The incident, which happened around 12:10 p.m. at the party’s Secretariat on Acme Road, sent shockwaves through the attendees, prompting immediate intervention.
Fortunately, Alabi, who is also the Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), was quickly revived and rushed to a nearby hospital for further medical attention.
Party members expressed relief at his prompt recovery and wished him a speedy return to good health.
In a separate development, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, inaugurated two judicial infrastructure projects on Friday, May 2.
The projects include the Deputy Sheriff Warehouse in Majidun, Ikorodu, and a 34-unit residential complex featuring three-bedroom apartments for magistrates and legal officers in Ketu.
This innovative housing facility, a first of its kind in Nigeria, is part of the governor’s comprehensive strategy to enhance the working and living conditions of judicial members.
During the inauguration, Governor Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of judicial officers and reinforcing the state’s rule of law.
