Omokri Turns Marriage Counsellor, Says Don’t Marry Your Mate

Renowned author and social commentator, Reno Omokri, has sparked a heated debate on social media with his latest advice to men: “don’t marry your age mate.”

PAccording to Omokri, men should think twice before marrying a woman who is their age or even slightly younger, citing the biblical story of Adam and Eve as an example.

Omokri argues that Adam was already established and settled in the Garden of Eden before God created Eve, implying that there was a significant age gap between the two.

He believes that this age gap is a key factor in a successful marriage, as it allows the man to be more mature and established before taking on the responsibilities of marriage.

“Marriage is beyond love and your emotions,” Omokri writes. “As a man, you are also a biological being with bodily needs. Except you are a hermaphrodite, you need a woman who can take care of those needs.” Omokri’s statement has been interpreted by some as a suggestion that men should marry older women who are more mature and experienced, while others see it as a call for men to marry women who are significantly younger than them.

The debate sparked by Omokri’s statement has been intense, with some people agreeing with his views and others strongly disagreeing. Some have argued that age is just a number and that what matters most in a marriage is love, compatibility, and mutual respect.

Others have pointed out that marrying someone significantly older or younger can create power imbalances and other issues in the relationship.

Despite the controversy, Omokri’s statement has also been praised by some for highlighting the importance of considering the practical aspects of marriage, such as financial stability and emotional maturity, in addition to love and emotions.

As the debate rages on, many are left wondering what Omokri’s statement means for modern relationships and whether his advice is relevant in today’s society.

While some may see his views as outdated or sexist, others may appreciate his willingness to challenge traditional notions of marriage and relationships.

In a society where age gaps in relationships are becoming increasingly common, Omokri’s statement has sparked an important conversation about what makes a successful marriage. Whether or not one agrees with his views, it is clear that his statement has struck a chord and will continue to be debated for some time to come.
