Tragedy in Plateau Community as Herds of Cattle Graze on Farm Laced with Pesticide
A devastating incident has occurred in Vwei community, Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, resulting in the loss of several cattle.
The animals, owned by a local resident, Dan’azumi Haruna, wandered into a recently treated farm on Wednesday afternoon, unknowingly exposing themselves to toxic substances.
The unfortunate event led to the immediate death of 11 cattle, while seven others were humanely euthanized due to severe contamination.
Furthermore, 15 additional cattle are undergoing treatment after showing signs of chemical exposure.
