Ogun Shut 45 Centers over Noise Pollution in 2024, Says Oresanya

In a crackdown on excessive noise, the Ogun State government has taken drastic measures to curb the menace of noise pollution, resulting in the closure of 45 centers in 2024.
According to the state’s environmental commissioner, Dr. Ola Oresanya, a significant number of establishments were shut down for violating noise regulations, while many others were penalized for similar infractions.
The commissioner’s made the announcement in a statement released to mark the 2025 International Noise Awareness Day, themed “Protect Your Hearing, Protect Your Health.”it was about the importance of protecting one’s hearing and overall well-being. The move is part of a broader effort to address the growing concern of noise pollution and its adverse effects on the health and quality of life of residents.
