Let The Records Be Clear And Unambiguous
In light of recent developments and conversations trailing the historic political realignment in Delta State, wherein the entire structure of the PDP in the state has effectively aligned with the APC, it has become imperative to address the noise in the social media space.
Some citizens have chosen to express their frustration with the system in refrains, labeling the Defectors as “corrupt” or “exploiters of the masses,” without taking into account the wisdom of hindsight. We must emphasize, Distinguished Senator Ned Munir Nwoko had long made his principled move to the All Progressives Congress before this wave of sensationalism began. His reasons remain constant, clear, noble, and unchanged. He seeks freedom for Anioma. He seeks water, electricity, infrastructure, and good governance for his people. That is the foundation of his politics.
It was this singular move, calculated, selfless, and masterful, that disrupted old systems. His action stirred a silent but potent fellowship across the nation, resonating with Nigerian youths and progressive minds. In the aftermath, as the walls of the PDP in Delta State came crumbling down, members of the top hierarchy, now displaced, sought shelter and found it within the same structure Senator Ned had already committed to for the greater good. We received them in good faith because we believe in a broader vision that transcends party lines, the progress of all Deltans.
Let us be clear, the political pedigree of Distinguished Senator Ned must never be mistaken or muddled in the fog of current events. He is not a typical politician, and he has said so boldly and consistently. He does not operate within the narrow constructs of political convention as we know it. He is, and remains, unapologetically different.
