Okey Bakassi Elected as Traditional Ruler of His Ancestral Home

 

 

 

 

Renowned Nigerian comedian and actor, Okechukwu Onyegbule, popularly known as Okey Bakassi, has been elected to ascend the throne of his ancestral home, Umuihuocha Obohia Autonomous Community in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.

 

He will bear the traditional title of Eze Okwe II upon his coronation, succeeding his forebearers as the custodian of the law and traditions of the community.

 

The election of Okey Bakassi as the Eze-elect of his homeland is a testament to his integrity, achievements, and deep-rooted connection to the community.

However, he later deviated from his engineering career to pursue a successful career in the entertainment industry, where he has made a name for himself as a comedian and actor, garnering a massive following across the globe.

 

The coronation ceremony of Okey Bakassi as the Eze Okwe II is expected to be a grand event, attracting notable individuals, traditional, religious, and political leaders from across the nation.
