I’m Happier Marrying an Older Man, Never Missed Anything, Says Shade Okoya

Yoruba, popular Nigerian industrialist and billionaire wife, Shade Okoya, has spoken candidly about her marriage to 85-year-old billionaire, Razak Okoya, saying she she has enjoyed her marriage.

The 48-year-old businesswoman, who tied the knot with her husband in 1999 when she was just 21, addressed critics of her marriage and boasted that she has never missed out on anything in life despite marrying an older man.

Shade Okoya, who has been married to her husband for over two decades, affirmed that she is very happy in her marriage.

She praised her husband’s generosity and defense of her, saying, “My husband has been very generous with me, and defends me anywhere. God said this is where I will be. We met each other, and he liked me and he did not waste time at all.”

When asked if she felt like she had missed out on anything by not marrying a younger man, Shade Okoya responded confidently, “I’m happy in my marriage to him. He is far older than me but I don’t think I ever missed out on anything because I didn’t marry a younger man.”

Shade Okoya revealed that she met her husband when she was just 21, and he was 59. She explained that her husband didn’t waste any time when they met, and he made his intentions known. She noted that he did what was required before they got married, and her mother and grandmother, who were the two people in her life who had to make the decision, were very much in support of the union.

The businesswoman also discussed her role at home, saying that she takes care of her husband herself. She added that her husband had told her before they got married that she would work and not be a housewife.
