Governor Bala Mohammed Appoints 168 Aides to Boost Governance in Bauchi

 

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has approved the appointment of 168 aides across various spectrums as part of efforts to enhance governance, strengthen service delivery, and deepen political inclusion across the state.

The appointments were announced in a statement released on Tuesday by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado.

According to the statement, the newly appointed aides include:
• 5 Principal Special Assistants on Political/Community Relations
• 1 Principal Special Assistant on Pension Matters
• 60 Senior Special Assistants on Political/Community Relations
• 1 Senior Special Assistant on Labour Matters
• 38 Special Assistants on Political/Community Relations
• 63 Personal Assistants on Political/Community Relations

Gidado explained that the appointments reflect Governor Mohammed’s commitment to inclusive governance and ensuring that voices from all parts of the state are represented in the administration.

“The appointments are part of the Governor’s ongoing efforts to ensure greater inclusion, enhance service delivery, and foster a government that reflects the diverse interests and aspirations of the people of Bauchi State,” the statement read.

The appointees, drawn from all 20 local government areas of the state, include many former political officeholders at the national, state, and local levels. They were selected based on their experience, leadership qualities, and understanding of the political landscape.

Governor Mohammed congratulated the new aides and urged them to embrace their responsibilities with a sense of duty, dedication, and a people-centred approach. He emphasized the importance of loyalty, hard work, and a commitment to advancing the interests of the people of Bauchi State.

“With these new appointments, we are confident that our administration will be better positioned to consolidate on its achievements and build a legacy of good governance, inclusivity, and sustainable development,” the governor stated.

The appointments take immediate effect as the governor continues efforts to strengthen his administration and solidify its legacy across the state.
