E-Money’s Arrest, an Attack on Igbo Strength, Alleges Cubana Chief Priest

Prominent businessman and nightlife entrepreneur, Cubana Chief Priest, has condemned the recent arrest of popular socialite, Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), describing it as a politically motivated move aimed at suppressing Igbo influence in national affairs.

In a strongly worded Instagram post, Chief Priest accused authorities of targeting E-Money shortly after his successful Easter homecoming concert in the Southeast, alleging that the arrest was meant to break his spirit and force compliance.

“This Is A Guy Who Just Did Everything To Push Up Southeast With His Just Concluded Home Coming Concert This Easter. I Knew They Will Come For Him Because He Just Saw His Strength, They Are Doing This So She Can Break Him So As To Make Him Succumb In Supporting Them Under Duress,” Chief Priest wrote.

“The Oppression On Us Igbos Will Never Stop But Let Me Tell All Of You We Will Never Stop. We Don’t Die, We Multiply; More Billionaires Are Coming Up, Come 2027 We Will Support & Vote For Who We Want To; We Wont Be Broken, We Will Even Be Stronger, We Will Reciprocate How We Were Treated With Our Energy, Brotherhood, Support, Votes & Affluence.”

Expressing support for E-Money, Chief Priest reassured him that the ordeal would not diminish his reputation but rather elevate it:

“@iam_emoney1 It’s Nothing Brother I Have Been There It Will Make You Stronger It’s Just Like Our Rolls Royce, E Na Location For The Rich & Famous Na Status Symbol.”*

The post, which quickly went viral, has sparked intense discussions online, particularly among supporters of the Southeast’s growing political and economic movement.

While many commended Cubana Chief Priest for standing up against perceived injustice, others called for due process and clarity from the EFCC.

As of now, the EFCC has not issued a public statement detailing the reasons for E-Money’s arrest.

With the 2027 elections on the horizon, this development may further amplify calls for Southeast political representation and scrutiny of the treatment of high-profile figures from the region.
