E-Money Regains Freedom from EFCC

Nigerian socialite and businessman, Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, has been released from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), according to Cubana Chief Priest, a close friend and associate.

Cubana Chief Priest, whose real name is Pascal Okechukwu, took to his social media page to announce the release of E-Money, expressing gratitude to God and thanking everyone who showed support during the trying time.

The news of E-Money’s release has been met with widespread relief and celebration from his fans and well-wishers, who had been anxiously waiting for an update on his situation.

E-Money, the younger brother of Nigerian music mogul, Kcee, was arrested by the EFCC on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, over allegations of tax fraud and foreign exchange malpractices. He was subsequently detained by the anti-graft agency, sparking concerns among his friends, family, and business associates.

The EFCC had allegedly accused E-Money of operating a foreign exchange business without the required license, among other infractions. However, details of the exact nature of the allegations and the terms of his release are still sketchy.

Cubana Chief Priest’s announcement has brought an end to speculation about E-Money’s whereabouts and condition, with many of his fans and supporters taking to social media to congratulate him on his release.

The development is seen as a welcome relief for E-Money, who has been a prominent figure in the Nigerian entertainment and business scene. His release is expected to bring an end to the uncertainty and anxiety that had surrounded his arrest and detention.
