Bury Your Hatchets, Let’s Work to Re-elect Tinubu, Keyamo Begs APC Members
The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has appealed to all members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to put aside their personal ambitions and prioritize the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
Keyamo emphasized that a second term for Tinubu was essential to complete the reforms he has initiated in governance.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday, Keyamo stressed that every APC member should focus on ensuring Tinubu’s re-election, regardless of personal interests.
“It will be tragic for any government to come in 2027 and stop all these reforms,” he said, highlighting the importance of continuity in governance.
Keyamo’s comments come on the heels of the recent defection of Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, to the APC. In a show of commitment to the party’s success, Keyamo ceded the party’s leadership in Delta State to the new defector, demonstrating his willingness to make sacrifices for the greater good.
The Minister reiterated that his personal interests are secondary to the re-election of President Tinubu, stating, “I don’t care whether it affects me, I don’t care whether I lose out politically, Mr. President must be elected.”
Keyamo’s stance underscores the importance of unity and cooperation within the APC as the party gears up for the 2027 elections.
By prioritizing Tinubu’s re-election, Keyamo believes that the APC can ensure the completion of the President’s reform agenda and prevent the disruption of ongoing projects.
The Minister’s call to action is likely to resonate with APC members, as the party seeks to build momentum ahead of the next general elections.
