Court Orders Achimugu to Appear Before EFCC For Investigation

The Federal High Court, Abuja, has ordered a prominent businesswoman, Aisha Achimugu, to appear before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to answer questions related to an ongoing investigation.

According to a court ruling delivered by Justice I.E. Ekwo, Achimugu is expected to honour the EFCC invitation on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. The court also directed that she must subsequently appear before the court on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

The ruling is seen as a major breakthrough in the EFCC’s efforts to investigate allegations of financial impropriety, and it is expected that Achimugu’s appearance will shed more light on the ongoing probe.

The EFCC has been investigating various individuals and organizations in recent times, and the invitation to Achimugu is part of the commission’s broader efforts to tackle financial crimes and corruption in the country.

It is unclear what specific allegations Achimugu is facing, but the EFCC’s investigation is likely to focus on issues related to financial transactions, money laundering, or other economic crimes.

Achimugu’s appearance before the EFCC and the court is expected to be closely watched by the public and the media, as it may provide insight into the ongoing investigation and any potential charges that may be brought against her.

The EFCC has been working tirelessly to combat financial crimes and corruption in Nigeria, and the court’s ruling is a significant step forward in this effort. As the investigation continues, it is expected that more details will emerge about the allegations against Achimugu and the potential consequences she may face.
