Obedient Movement Launches Online Registration Portal

The Obidient Movement, a grassroots organization dedicated to promoting good governance and accountability in Nigeria, has launched its online registration portal and identity cards for members in Nigeria and the diaspora.
The move is aimed at creating a unified and secure platform for Obidients to connect, verify their identities, and engage in various activities.
According to a statement signed by Dr. Yunusa Tanko, National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, and Nana Kazaure, Director of Strategic Communications and Media, the identity card will feature the flag of the country where the holder resides. The card will also have a unique QR code on the bottom right-hand corner for authentication purposes.
The Obidient Movement’s online registration portal is designed to support Nigerians and fellow Obidients living in the diaspora, allowing them to register and obtain their identity cards easily. The portal is user-friendly, and members can sign up and submit their forms online, which will then undergo a verification process.
The identity card is designed to be a symbol of unity and solidarity among Obidients, with a unique prefix “OBX” that is constant on all cards. The card will also feature the flag of the country where the holder resides, as well as a 3-letter country code for diasporan members. For example, members in the United Kingdom will have “GBR” on their cards.
The statement emphasized that the numbers on the identity cards are deliberately randomized for security purposes, making it difficult for unauthorized individuals to guess or replicate the codes. The QR code on the bottom right-hand corner of the card can be scanned using a smartphone or any QR scanner, allowing members to verify the authenticity of the card and the identity of the holder.
The Obidient Movement urged its members to exercise caution when engaging in business dealings or forming relationships with other members, and to always carry out their own independent investigations and due diligence to avoid falling prey to individuals with ulterior motives.
