APC Information Commissioners Forum Lauds Tinubu’s Reforms, Hails Nigerians’ Resilience
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Information Commissioners Forum has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for its sweeping economic and structural reforms, describing them as bold steps toward sustainable national development.
The commendation came at the end of a two-day Quarterly Strategy Meeting of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), held at the PGF Secretariat in Asokoro, Abuja. The forum brought together information commissioners from APC-governed states to review communication strategies, enhance collaboration, and align policy messaging across the party’s state governments.
In a communiqué released after the meeting, the commissioners praised the Tinubu administration’s efforts in implementing critical reforms aimed at stabilizing the economy and laying a foundation for long-term growth. They also lauded the Nigerian people for their resilience, patience, and continued support during what they acknowledged as a challenging transition period.
“We recognize the bold leadership of President Tinubu and commend the Nigerian populace for their enduring spirit. The reforms are already yielding positive outcomes, and we believe the nation is on a path to recovery and prosperity,” the communiqué stated.
The commissioners also reaffirmed their loyalty to the Progressive Governors and pledged to intensify efforts toward promoting transparency, accountability, and citizen-focused governance.
A key outcome of the meeting was the adoption of the PGF National Value Reorientation Campaign, which aims to rebuild public trust, foster patriotism, and promote responsible citizenship. The forum agreed to domesticate the campaign in their respective states through coordinated messaging, grassroots engagement, and inter-state collaboration.
Furthermore, the commissioners resolved to institutionalize a quarterly communication strategy review session to ensure consistent evaluation and improvement of public messaging across APC states.
Participants at the meeting included Lagos State’s Commissioner for Information, Gbenga Omotoso; Jigawa’s Sagir Musa Ahmed; Kayode Akinmade representing Ogun; Kingsley Femi Fanwo of Kogi; and commissioners from Ekiti, Cross River, Niger, Nasarawa, Kaduna, Sokoto, Yobe, and others. The Director-General of the PGF, Folorunso S. Aluko, also attended.
The forum concluded by emphasizing the importance of strategic communication in governance and pledged continued support to the federal government’s development agenda.
