ibok-Ette Ibas Attends First NEC Meeting as Sole Administrator of Rivers State
The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Admiral Ibok-Ette Ibas (Retd), yesterday made his debut at the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting, held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Ibas, who was appointed by President Bola Tinubu as the Sole Administrator of Rivers State has been busy familiarizing himself with the workings of the state government.
The NEC meeting, which was chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima, had in attendance all the state governors, the Minister of Finance, and other top government officials.
Ibas was said to have made significant contributions to the discussions at the meeting, drawing from his experience as a seasoned diplomat and administrator.
The meeting discussed several key issues, including the state of the economy, the implementation of the national budget, and the challenges facing the country’s infrastructure development.
Ibas’ attendance at the NEC meeting is seen as a significant step towards integrating Rivers State into the national economic agenda.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting, he said he was pleased to have attended his first NEC meeting as the Sole Administrator of Rivers State.
