Okpebholo Reaffirms Commitment to Fulfilling Election Promises
Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has reiterated his commitment to delivering on his campaign promises, with a strong focus on infrastructure, economic development, and grassroots empowerment.
Speaking during a recent meeting with stakeholders in Edo Central, Governor Okpebholo declared his administration would usher in a new era of transformation across the state. He emphasized that his government is not just prepared to work, but is already taking visible steps toward achieving tangible results.
“We are committed to an infrastructural revolution, especially in the Edo Central Senatorial District. We want to make it a construction hub, one that will attract investment and create jobs for our people,” the governor stated.
A key part of his agenda is the creation of a self-sustaining, homegrown economy. Governor Okpebholo stressed the importance of reducing dependence on foreign consultants and tapping into local talent and resources. “Edo State has all it needs to thrive,” he said. “We must empower our own and build an economy from within.”
In line with this vision, the Edo State Local Government Service Commission has pledged full cooperation with the administration. Chairman of the Commission, Hon. Tom Iseghohi, affirmed the body’s readiness to work with the governor to ensure sustainable development at the grassroots level.
Since assuming office, Governor Okpebholo has rolled out several initiatives, including the commissioning of over 50 new security vehicles to enhance safety across the state. He has also relaunched Edo Line with 50 new buses, aiming to improve transportation and boost economic activity.
Citizens and observers have lauded these early efforts as a promising start, noting that the governor’s actions reflect a serious commitment to accountability and service delivery.
With his administration still in its early stages, all eyes are now on Governor Okpebholo to see how he will continue to translate promises into action and reposition Edo State for lasting growth and development.
