Tinubu Administration Most Corrupt, Dishonest Government, Says El-Rufai

Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has branded the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration as “Nigeria’s most corrupt and dishonest government.”
Speaking at a closed-door political forum in Abuja on Tuesday, El-Rufai accused the current administration of fostering systemic corruption, lack of transparency, and betrayal of public trust.
“What we are witnessing today is unprecedented. The Tinubu government has institutionalized dishonesty at every level,” El-Rufai reportedly said, according to sources present at the meeting.
The former governor, known for his controversial yet candid political opinions, further claimed that key officials within the administration are “enriching themselves shamelessly” while ordinary Nigerians continue to grapple with economic hardship, inflation, and insecurity.
Although El-Rufai did not provide specific evidence during the forum, his remarks have ignited a flurry of responses across the political spectrum. Critics of the Tinubu government have echoed his sentiments, while supporters have condemned his comments as “reckless” and “politically motivated.”
The Presidency has yet to issue an official response, though sources within Aso Rock suggest that a rebuttal is imminent.
Political analysts say El-Rufai’s comments could deepen divisions within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), especially amid growing internal discontent and calls for reform.
This development adds to the mounting pressure on the Tinubu administration, which has already faced criticism over fuel subsidy removal, naira depreciation, and ongoing security challenges across the country.
As the situation unfolds, Nigerians are watching closely to see whether El-Rufai’s bold accusation will spark a broader political reckoning or be dismissed as another chapter in the country’s turbulent political narrative.
