Mohammed Salah Breaks Premier League Record For Most Goal Involvements in 38-Game Season

Mohamed Salah has etched his name on Premier League history once again, setting a new benchmark for the most combined goals and assists in a 38-game season

. The Egyptian forward reached a stunning total of 45 goal involvements, consisting of 27 goals and 18 assists, surpassing the previous record of 44 held jointly by Thierry Henry (2002/03) and Erling Haaland (2022/23).

Salah broke the record during Liverpool’s recent 2-1 victory over West Ham United, assisting Luis Díaz’s opening goal. That assist was his 18th of the campaign, marking another milestone: the first player since Kevin De Bruyne in 2019/20 to record at least 18 assists in a single Premier League season.

The 2024/25 season has been nothing short of historic for Salah, who has racked up a host of new records, including:

First player in Premier League history to register 10+ goals and 10+ assists in four consecutive seasons (2021–22 to 2024–25).
Most games in a single season with both a goal and an assist: 11.
Fastest player to reach 30 goal involvements in a Premier League season: 18 matches.
Most goal contributions in a single month: 14 in December 2024.
Most away goal involvements in a Premier League season: 27.

First player to record at least 25 goals and 15 assists in a single campaign.

Salah’s record-breaking form has played a crucial role in Liverpool’s title charge, as the Reds close in on their 20th English top-flight crown. With the season drawing to a dramatic finish, the Egyptian King has once again proven why he is considered one of the greatest players in Premier League history.
