Ned Nwoko to Gov Oborevwori: ‘Perish Thought’ of Joining APC

Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, has told the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, that he should forget the idea of joining the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Senator Nwoko, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) like Governor Oborevwori, advised the governor to completely dismiss any consideration of defecting from the PDP to the ruling APC.
In a direct message, Nwoko reportedly told Governor Oborevwori to “perish the thought” of joining the rival political party.
This statement from Senator Nwoko highlights the ongoing political dynamics within Delta State and potentially signals underlying tensions or rumours about the governor’s future political alignment.
Defection by a sitting PDP governor to the APC would represent a major political shift in the state.
Both Senator Nwoko and Governor Oborevwori are prominent figures within the Delta State PDP. As of now, there has been no public reaction from the Governor’s office regarding the Senator’s statement.
