Iyabo Ojo Steals Hearts at Mother’s Night Ceremony with Sincere Worship Before Daughter’s Wedding

Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, stole fans’ and guests’ hearts as she was seen worshipping sincerely during the Mother’s Night ceremony conducted in her daughter’s honor, Priscilla Ojo, before her upcoming marriage to Tanzanian artist Juma Jux.

The emotionally and spiritually charged ceremony, which took place in Lagos, was one of the traditional wedding rites to the April 17 wedding.

The Mother’s Night, a cultural carnival celebrating the love, sacrifice, and support of the bride’s mother, was a tear-jerking experience.

Iyabo Ojo, whose vibrancy on camera was familiar to everyone, also had a reflective experience at the event as she gave emotional prayers and words of encouragement in celebration of her daughter’s entry into marriage.

The wedding was graced by the presence of various celebrities in the entertainment sector, including actresses Mercy Aigbe and Toyin Abraham.

People were seen to be emotionally touched by the humility of Iyabo’s devotion as she prayed for her daughter and appreciated God for her new home and life to be blessed with peace, joy, and prosperity.

Sealed by the holy spirit, award-winning gospel singer Adeyinka Alaseyori gave an inspiring worship session that left most observers with tears in their eyes.

The word ministry from the Gospel side brought holiness to the celebration, showing the spiritual tone Iyabo Ojo anticipates for her daughter’s wedding.

The event also brought to the fore the intimate bond between Iyabo and her daughter, Priscilla, which has been long envied by fans on social media. The actress, who raised her children alone most times, has been known to often speak about motherhood, with all its challenges and triumphs, and this celebration was therefore even more symbolic.

Visitors and online spectators took to social media to hail their admiration, employing the #JP2025 — a merger of the initials of the pair and wedding date — that trended across wide distances on most platforms. Numerous others praised Iyabo’s commitment, referring to her display of love and appreciation as a beautiful demonstration of motherhood.

The upcoming wedding, which will be held on April 17, 2025, has caused massive excitement in Nigeria and Tanzania. The pair previously had a very costly pre-wedding party in Tanzania, which Iyabo Ojo and other Nigerian celebrities graced. The Lagos edition of the celebrations has generated more anticipation.

With plans for the future, Mother’s Night ceremony continues to be a fitting reminder of family, religion, and tradition all playing significant roles in Nigerian weddings — and that of a mother’s unshakeable desire for the child to be happy.
