Man Beaten to Death as Another is Killed by Kidnapper in Kaduna

Kaduna State has been rocked by two tragic incidents involving fatal family altercations.

in Zaria City, a 50-year-old man, Sani Yusuf, was allegedly beaten to death by his elder brother, Abubakar Aminu, in a shocking case of domestic violence. The other involved Kidnap of a cousin which resulted in death.

The incident occurred on April 4, 2025, at their family home in Rimintsiwa area. According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the altercation turned violent, leading to severe injuries that left Sani hospitalized.

He was rushed to Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) Shika, where he fought for his life under medical supervision. However, his condition worsened, and he succumbed to his injuries at 4:50 a.m. on April 10, 2025.

The family has since buried the deceased according to local customs, while Kaduna State Police Command has launched a manhunt for the suspect, who fled the scene after the attack. The case has been classified as culpable homicide, and investigations are ongoing to uncover the motive behind the assault.

In a related development earlier this year, Kaduna authorities arrested a man identified as Abdulazeez Idris for the kidnap and murder of his six-year-old cousin, Aisha Saidu. The tragic event took place in Zaria Local Government Area. Idris allegedly abducted Aisha and later confessed to killing her, sparking widespread outrage and calls for justice across the state.

Security agencies in Kaduna are urging residents to report suspicious activities and to seek peaceful resolutions to family disputes. Both cases underscore the importance of mental health awareness, family counseling, and stronger community policing.

As investigations continue, the public awaits justice for both Sani Yusuf and young Aisha Saidu two innocent lives lost to domestic and familial violence.
