Crown Princess of Sweden Arrives Lagos

Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Duchess of Västergötland, arrived in Lagos for a visit geared towards consolidating relations between Nigeria and Sweden.
The Crown Princess arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport yesterday evening at approximately 8:20 PM on a Swedish Air Force plane. She was welcomed by a team of senior Lagos State officials, led by the Secretary to the Lagos State Government, Barrister (Mrs.) Abimbola Salu-Hundeyin, and the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Mrs. Bolaji Dada, on behalf of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Upon her arrival, the motorcade of the royal family departed the airport with heightened security, as the Crown Princess was to start her official tour in the state.
As part of her itinerary, Crown Princess Victoria will today pay a courtesy call on Governor Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos House in Marina, where there are hopes of engagement between the two nations regarding bilateral relations and areas of possible collaboration. The visit is being looked at as an opportunity to foster co-operation between the two nations and explore possible areas of co-operation.
