Trump Plans $36 Trillion Defrayment with Assets Sale Proceeds

President Donald Trump of America is exploring the use of revenues generated by selling government property to help alleviate the nation’s staggering $36 trillion national debt.
The proposal, which has been floated, will likely be met with opposition from Democratic senators.
Republican Senator Mike Lee recently gave away the administration’s plan on social media, stating that Democrats had attempted to block the utilization of these funds to reduce the national debt but were unsuccessful.
Congressional Republicans are also exploring the sale of federal land to pay for President Trump’s sweeping domestic agenda, reports show. Under one proposal, which is being discussed, House Natural Resources Chairman Bruce Westerman said, land near Western cities or national parks would be sold and used to construct new houses.
Experts warn that such land sales could provoke intense resistance from Democrats and public lands advocacy groups dedicated to preserving public lands. The proposal could fuel a contentious fight over the control of federal land and the nation’s debt reduction efforts.
