Miss World Nigeria 2025: Osun State’s Joy Mojisola Raimi Wins

In a highly contested grand finale held at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, 24-year-old Joy Mojisola Raimi from Osun State has emerged as the 2025 Miss World Nigeria beauty pageant.

This was revealed by the pageant organizer, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, on his social media handle on Saturday.

Raimi, a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt, emerged winner after competing with 36 other contestants from different regions of Nigeria. She will now represent the country at the 72nd Miss World Pageant in Hyderabad, India, from May 7 to 31, 2025.

Raimi is a passionate humanitarian who founded “The Love for Humanity” project, an initiative that aims to spread love and restore faith in humanity, Senator Murray-Bruce stated. Raimi competed in the final round of the competition against participants from Imo, Ebonyi, Abuja, and Abia and was asked about her experience with bullying.

In an emotional tone, Raimi shared her heart-wrenching story of being motherless and harassed by her guardian.

After being told that she would never amount to anything in life, Raimi made her doubters swallow their words as she achieved this success. Her resilience and tenacity moved the judges and audience to tears, thus declaring her the winner.

As the new Miss World Nigeria 2025, Raimi will represent the nation alongside beauties from 140 countries at the international pageant in India.

Her victory has set off celebrations across the country, with many congratulating her on social media.

Senator Murray-Bruce applauded Raimi’s win, saying: “Congratulations to Joy Mojisola Raimi, the 24-year-old Osun State contestant, on her coronation as Miss World Nigeria 2025! We are proud to have her as our representative on the international stage.”

With her new crown, Raimi will embark on a journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and charity, inspiring young women across Nigeria and worldwide.
