Kogi East APC Chairman, Suleman Omika, Dies Suddenly

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of its Kogi East zonal chairman, Suleman Omika.

Omika, who had only recently assumed office, replacing Nasir Agbodu as chairman, passed away unexpectedly, leaving his friends, family, and political allies in shock.

According to sources close to the family, Omika was in good health as of Friday, making his sudden demise all the more surprising. The cause of death is still unknown, but a family member revealed that Omika was resting in his compound in Lokoja when he suddenly called for help, complaining of weakness, and died instantly.

The state’s APC chairman, Abdullahi Bello, confirmed the incident, stating that he was informed of Omika’s death by the deputy governor of Kogi State, Joel Oyibo.

“Yes, it’s confirmed, the deputy governor called to inform and commiserate with me as I am currently in Lagos to commiserate with the Lagos State APC Chairman, who lost his wife,” Bello said.

Omika’s death has sent shockwaves through the APC in Kogi State, with many party members and leaders expressing their condolences to his family and loved ones. The circumstances surrounding his death are still unclear, and an investigation is likely to be conducted to determine the cause of his sudden passing.

As the party comes to terms with the loss of its zonal chairman, Omika’s legacy and contributions to the APC in Kogi East will be remembered and honored. His sudden death serves as a reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment with loved ones.
