In Desperate Move to Stop Natasha’s Visit Okehi Imposed Curfew on LG

In a claimed bid to maintain peace and order, the Chairman of Okehi Local Government Area in Kogi State, Amoka Monday, has announced the imposition of a curfew across the council.

The decision comes in response to security concerns and the recent ban on political rallies and unauthorized public gatherings.

However, the curfew is sewn as part of measures to block embattled Senator Natasha Akpoti-Udiaghan from visiting her constituency where schemes for her recall have been cooking.

According to a statement signed by Chairman Monday, the curfew is aimed at preventing any potential security threats and ensuring the safety of residents. The restriction on movement and gatherings in designated areas takes immediate effect, and anyone found loitering or assembling in restricted zones without proper clearance from the relevant authorities will be arrested and prosecuted.

The chairman emphasized that the safety of the people is of utmost importance and that the local government administration will not tolerate any situation that could jeopardize the peace and stability of the communities. He reassured residents that the administration is working closely with security agencies to monitor the situation and take necessary measures to maintain law and order.

The curfew and ban on political rallies according to them, are part of Government’s broader efforts to preserve peace, curb misinformation, and ensure that public gatherings adhere to legal guidelines. The move is seen as a proactive step to prevent any potential security threats and maintain stability in the area.

Residents have been urged to comply with the directive and cooperate with security agencies to safeguard lives and property. The administration has also appealed for calm, encouraging the public to go about their daily activities within the confines of the law.

By imposing the curfew, the Okehi Local Government Area administration aims to maintain peace and stability in the community, while also ensuring the safety and security of its residents. The move is seen as a necessary step to prevent any potential security threats and maintain law and order in the area.
