Breaking News: Governor Ododo Accuses Natasha of Attempt to Breach the Peace in Kogi

Kogi State government has accused Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, of attempting to incite chaos and violence in the state.

This development comes on the heels of the senator’s successful homecoming, which was mired by controversy surrounding the state government’s ban on political gatherings and the use of convoys.

According to a statement released by the state Commissioner for Information and Communication, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo, the senator’s actions are a blatant attempt to mislead the public and create unrest. The statement specifically referenced a post made by the senator on her verified Facebook page, in which she claimed that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, former governor Yahaya Bello, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio should be held responsible if anything happens to her.

The Kogi State government has dismissed the senator’s allegations as baseless and malicious, stating that they are a desperate attempts to stir up controversy and cover up her own disregard for the law.

The government has made it clear that Governor Ododo has no interest in the senator’s political antics and that her actions are a threat to the peace and stability of the state.

The statement also revealed that the senator had deleted the post in question after realizing the potential consequences of her actions, but not before the government had taken a screenshot of it.

The government has warned that the senator’s actions have confirmed the authenticity of security reports indicating that certain elements were planning to foment trouble in Kogi Central.

The Kogi State government has accused Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan of consistently demonstrating a pattern of lawlessness, using lies and deceit as her tools of political engagement. The recent disturbances in the state, orchestrated by her defiance of security directives, have further confirmed her status as a security threat to the people of the state.

The government has emphasized that the senator deliberately violated the ban on political gatherings, which was put in place to prevent security breaches and maintain peace. Instead of respecting the law, she chose to incite chaos, disregarding the safety and stability of the state. When confronted with the consequences of her actions, she resorted to her usual tactics of playing the victim and fabricating baseless accusations against respected leaders.

The Kogi State government has made it clear that it will not be blackmailed or intimidated by the antics of a desperate politician who has built her career on falsehoods. The government remains committed to upholding law and order and will take all necessary steps to ensure that no individual, regardless of their status, is allowed to breach public peace with impunity.

The government has warned that the building tension and cloud of violence hanging over Kogi Central would not have been necessary if the senator had complied with the state government’s position and cooperated with security agencies. The senator would be held responsible if her actions result in any violence in Kogi Central or any part of the state.

The Kogi State government has emphasized that the security of every citizen in the state, including that of Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, remains a priority. However, the government will not tolerate anyone deliberately provoking crises and then crying wolf when confronted with the consequences of their actions.

The government has called on security agencies to take note of the senator’s reckless utterances and inflammatory actions, which pose a serious threat to peace and stability in the state. The senator should be held accountable for her blatant attempts to incite violence and cause unnecessary tension.

The Kogi State government has reaffirmed its commitment to peace, security, and progress under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo. The government will not allow anyone, regardless of their status, to derail its commitment to these values. The state remains peaceful, and the government will continue to work towards maintaining law and order, ensuring the safety and stability of all citizens.
