Zelensky Declares Asserts to Bolster Transparency, Accountability

In a move aimed at promoting transparency and combating corruption, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has publicly disclosed his family’s assets, income, expenses, and financial obligations for the year 2024.

This declaration is part of Ukraine’s ongoing efforts to increase transparency and accountability among public officials, with mandatory electronic asset declarations reinstated in October 2023 after a suspension in 2022 due to Russia’s invasion.

According to the declaration, Zelensky and his family earned a total of UAH 15,286,193 (approximately $368,556 USD) in 2024. This represents a significant increase from the previous year, when the family declared a total income of $316,700 USD. The increase in income is attributed to the full resumption of rental payments, which contributed to a substantial portion of the family’s earnings.

The Presidential Office noted that there were no significant changes in the family’s assets, real estate, or vehicles during 2024. This suggests that the family’s financial situation has remained relatively stable, with no major acquisitions or disposals of assets.
