Breaking News: Peter Obi Can’t Control His Social Terrorists Group, Says, Reno

Reno Omokri, a social media influencer and public commentator, has explained that he shifted from being a vocal critic of President Bola Tinubu to a supporter due to new evidence and a trusted personal relationship.
Omokri had initially opposed Tinubu over concerns about his academic credentials and alleged links to drug-related activities.
However, after investigating Tinubu’s educational background in September 2022, Omokri discovered that Tinubu had indeed attended and graduated from Chicago State University. This new information led Omokri to reconsider his stance, and he subsequently withdrew his previous claims about Tinubu’s academic credentials.
Although Omokri continued to criticize Tinubu over the drug allegations, the Supreme Court’s verdict later prompted him to reassess his position. The court ruled that Tinubu was not a drug convict and had only been involved as an accountant for someone else who was convicted.
Omokri felt that he could no longer criticize Tinubu on this issue, as he would be contradicting himself.
Omokri’s decision to support the Tinubu administration was further influenced by the appointment of his close friend, Nuhu Ribadu, as National Security Adviser. Ribadu convinced Omokri of the government’s genuine intentions to improve Nigeria, leading Omokri to publicly declare his support for the administration.
Omokri emphasized that his change of stance was based on evidence and principle, and he attributed any confusion to the Nigerian public’s short memory.
In an interview on Breakfast Central, Omokri stated that he had met with individuals who provided him with evidence of Tinubu’s educational background, which changed his perspection. He also noted that his relationship with Ribadu, whom he has known since Ribadu’s exile by the Yaradua administration, played a significant role in his decision to support the government. Omokri concluded that as long as Ribadu is part of the administration, he will continue to support the government and its economic policies.
