Soludo Delivers First General Hospital in Onitsha South LGA

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has inaugurated the first General hospital in Onitsha South Local government of the state.

Located in Fegge, a burstling cosmopolitan area in Onitsha, it is the first General hospital to be built in the local government since the creation of Anambra State.
Inaugurating the hospital, the governor said it aligned with his agenda of taking healthcare closer to the people as well as broaden access to healthcare delivery.
The hospital boasts of modern facilities with theaters, out patient department and dispensaries thereby fitting into both primary and secondary health needs of the people.
There is free maternal health program in the state which makes child delivery whether by cesarean section or normal delivery free across the state.
By delivering the project, he is bringing to fruition, his campaign promise of building General hospitals in each of the Local Government.
The other general hospital in Onitsha is on Awka road, near the palace of Obi of Onitsha which though is still in Onitsha town, but is a different Local Government Area of Onitsha North.
