BAT Ideological Group(BIG) Applauds Southern Kaduna Politicians for Joining APC

The BAT Ideological Group has praised the Kaduna State Governor for revitalizing the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Southern Kaduna.
This follows the defection of hundreds of individuals from various political parties, led by Senator Danjuma Laar and Hon. Godfrey Ali Gaiya, a former member of the House of Representatives.
In a statement, the group attributed the APC’s previous struggles in Southern Kaduna to former governor Nasir El-Rufai, accusing him of authoritarian leadership, neglecting the region’s development, and failing to address insecurity under the pretense of political differences.
Chief Atoyebi Bamidele, the group’s executive director, reassured the defectors that they had made the right choice and were now part of a welcoming political family. He emphasized that under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership, they would benefit from his inclusive governance, citing the establishment of a university in the area as one of the early signs of his commitment.
“It is often said that success has many allies, while failure stands alone. This aptly describes the situation in Kaduna State, as more people are now aligning with the APC,” the statement noted.
Southern Kaduna was historically an opposition stronghold, to the point that the previous administration, under the diminutive Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, appeared to have allowed insecurity to persist due to a lack of political influence in the region. However, the shift towards the APC signals a new era.
“The BAT Ideological Group (BIG) is delighted to welcome these new members, assuring them that they are now part of a larger political family under President Tinubu’s leadership. His administration is committed to ending their suffering and marginalization,” the group added.
Highlighting this as an opportunity to correct past injustices, the group also commended Governor Uba Sani for adopting a more inclusive and strategic approach to governance compared to his predecessor.
“Your decision to join the APC reflects the effective leadership of President Tinubu, reinforcing his role as a unifying leader dedicated to ensuring national cohesion and the protection of all regions,” Chief Bamidele concluded.
