APC Strengthens Presence in Southern Kaduna as Political Leaders Defect

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is solidifying its presence in Southern Kaduna, following the defection of several prominent political figures in the region, the BAT Ideological Group (BIG) has announced.

In a statement, the group’s Executive Director, Chief Atoyebi Bamidele, described the defections as a step in the right direction, assuring the new members of a warm welcome.

“It is often said that success has many allies, while failure stands alone. This aptly captures the current political shift in Kaduna State, as more people rally behind the APC,” the statement read.

BIG, a staunch supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, commended Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani for reversing the past trend of marginalization in Southern Kaduna, where development was sidelined and security challenges were overlooked.

“The BAT Ideological Group (BIG) is pleased to welcome these new members into the APC family under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is committed to ending their past struggles and ensuring their inclusion in governance. This has already begun with the establishment of a university in the area,” the group stated.

BIG emphasized that this transition offers an opportunity to correct past injustices and credited Governor Uba Sani for his more inclusive and strategic political approach compared to his predecessor.

“Your decision to join the APC is a testament to the effective leadership of President Tinubu. As a unifying leader and father of the nation, he remains committed to fostering national cohesion and ensuring that every region is well represented and protected,” the statement added.

The group listed key political figures who have joined the APC, including:
